Two products. One mission — precision mechanical circulatory support, designed and built in India.
An advanced percutaneous ventricular assist device delivering controlled forward blood flow via a high-speed impeller pump. External motor, flexible shaft drive, intelligent dual-channel controller — India’s first dual cath pump.
A modular Heart Lung Machine for modern cardiac surgery. Independent roller pump control, central display module, bubble detection, level sensing, pressure monitoring and temperature management — one OR-ready console.

Clinical need validated with Dr. K Balakrishnan. Architecture locked: external motor, flexible shaft, dual-channel controller.
IIT MadrasPatent applications filed covering dual-pump architecture, flexible shaft drive, and sensorless motor control algorithms.
Patents Filedv1 & v2 prototypes assembled. Pump catheter, flexible shaft and external motor integrated with dual-motor controller console.
Bench VerifiedIn-vitro hemolysis testing across full speed range. 6 L/min max flow confirmed. Results consistent with design requirements.
6 L/min ConfirmedCDSCO test license secured under MDR 2017. Class D documentation pathway and regulatory engagement established.
CDSCO LicensePre-clinical acute study completed at MGM Hospital. Hemodynamic support and procedural feasibility both validated.
Trial SuccessfulGLP-compliant chronic implantation study underway. Independent pathology assessment. Final pre-clinical step before first-in-human.
Active NowFirst-in-human CTA submitted post-GLP. Cardiogenic shock indication. Target site: MGM Hospital, Chennai.
First-in-HumanMarket authorisation and commercial launch across Indian cath labs. International regulatory pathway to follow.
Commercial LaunchMost percutaneous support devices unload a single ventricle. Cardiogenic shock rarely respects that boundary — right-heart failure follows left-heart failure, and dual support changes the outcome.
The Floaid Cath Pump runs two independently-controlled microaxial pumps from one console: an LV channel through the aortic valve, and an RV channel through the pulmonary valve. Speed, flow, and pressure are tuned per ventricle.
Independent LV and RV channels with dedicated motor control. Both ventricles supported simultaneously from a single console — not sequential switching.
→ India’s First Dual Cath PumpMotor remains outside the body. Flexible shaft transmits rotational power intracardiac — minimal footprint, no internal heat generation.
→ Flexible Shaft Drive33,000 RPM operational speed delivers precise, responsive control over forward blood flow across all acuity levels.
→ 33,000 RPMTwo independent motor ports allow simultaneous operation of both LV and RV pump channels with full system redundancy and precision per-channel control.
→ LV + RV Independent ControlLV and RV motor connectors are physically keyed differently. Cross-connection in the OR is mechanically impossible — a hardware-enforced safety constraint.
